ATK is currently recruiting for several NDT (Non Destructive Testing) Technicians (Level II UT Inspector) to work in our Clearfield, UT location .

Job Description:
This technician will perform and interpret NDT inspections on frames, stringers, aircraft parts, and aircraft assemblies. Based on the technical nature of this position, experience and training in the area is required to meet Level 2 certification requirements per NAS410.
Job Duties:
Perform UT inspections and interpretation using automated inspection systems and handheld techniques to determine acceptability of parts in accordance with applicable specifications
Operate automated NDT machinery by using and following established procedures
Handle and position parts in tanks/inspection systems as required to perform NDT inspections
Evaluate, and interpret NDT scans of composite materials
Complete all records of inspection including rejection reports as applicable, accurately and timely
Requirements and
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent GED (education will be verified)
Min 5 years current/recent exp in non destructive testing (preferably on composite materials)
Qualify and be certified as a Level II Ultrasonic Inspector
Provide certification records
Documented hours as Level II Ultrasonic Inspector
Experience with NAS-410 NDI requirements
Experience with specification interpretation and nonconformance reports
Experience in working with aerospace specifications and requirements preferred
Composite Ultrasonic interpretation experience preferred
Use of small hand tools and comparators USMGO hand held UT equipment
Inspection reporting and documentation
Excellent computer skills. Skilled in working with Microsoft Office applications
Must be able to shift work
Support manufacturing in high rate composite part production facility, including weekends
Excellent attendance and punctuality and ability to work overtime as required
Perform physical requirements of the position, including use of inspection hand tools, NDT equipment, lift up to 50 lbs, pass eye examination

Requisition may be filled at a lower level (NDT Technician 07) with a minimum of 3 years Non-Destructive Testing experience; or equivalent experience with BS degree.
