ATK's Aerospace Structures Division in Clearfield, Utah is building an Industrial Engineering Program to support its entire line of commercial and military products. We are looking for energetic professionals with the combination of people skills and technical aptitude that is required to simultaneously build standard processes and procedures while supporting internal production customers. Anticipate a work environment with a spectrum of experience that includes startup programs to stable production lines, minor sub assembly to high volume fabrication, small detail parts to large structures, and more.
Industrial Engineering accountability will include, but not be limited to the following:
Manufacturing capacity analysis
Positional tooling and machine requirements
Work measurement / time standards development
Production performance metrics and analysis
Special studies and projects
Staffing models
Production readiness assessments
Recovery planning
Facilities and workplace design
Simulation
Expectations for a second level Industrial Engineer are as follows:
An M.S. in Industrial Engineering or a B.S. in Industrial Engineering with 1.5 years related experience (another manufacturing related M.S. or B.S. degree may be substituted upon approval of the hiring manager).
Technical skills to use and apply basic Industrial Engineering principles, theories, and concepts with high level of competency
Ability to develop and communicate solutions to routine technical problems
Capable of working under general supervision with basic instructions and review upon work completion
Understands the impact of their work may cause delays in program/project schedules
Works primarily with internal company contacts and occasionally with outside customers or contacts
Requisition may be filled at a lower level, Eng I, Manufacturing (Industrial Engineer). B.S. with 0 years related experience.
