Summary:
Under direct supervision of the Program Director, the employee will be responsible for assisting Automotive Program graduates with job, school and various other placement services.
Detailed
Responsibilities:
Eligible candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Career Guidance, or related field, or have an equivalency of education and previous work experience.
The position requires a background working with young adults between the ages of 18 and 27 years of age.
Candidate will do business to business networking and develop jobs for students near graduation and for program graduates from the Automotive, Diesel and Auto Body and Refinishing Programs.
Candidate will also work with employers, schools, the military and other training programs to provide quality placement opportunities for students.
Candidate will be required to oversee detailed records management documenting placement follow up efforts for up to 24 months after the student's graduation.
Candidate will be responsible for setting up internships or Work Based Learning opportunities for trainees in Utah and across the United States.
Candidate must have the ability to follow detailed instructions, work independently on assigned projects, and have the ability to prioritize multiple assignments simultaneously.
Candidate must have excellent written and oral presentation skills and be comfortable speaking in front of large groups.
The position requires excellent computer skills, using Microsoft Office Programs, including:
Access, Word, Power Point, Excel, etc.
Candidate must be willing to work in a multi-cultural environment and provide career guidance to students from diverse backgrounds, and be willing and able to provide career guidance and teach employability skills classes on a regular basis.
Candidate must be willing to travel along the Wasatch Front and other assigned areas to perform job development responsibilities.
In addition, the candidate will be responsible to carry out other duties as assigned by management.
Candidate must have a valid Utah driver's license with an excellent driving record, and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and a detailed back ground check prior to being hired.
