Job Description

Call Receiver provides courteous and professional assistance in responding to member requests for Roadside Assistance and other AAA products and service for a high volume call center. Work performed under direct supervision while learning the unit s assignments. After gaining experience, agent is competent in Call Receiving and agent s work is checked periodically. Products / Services Handled: Inbound ERS Servicing (primary), Membership Servicing (secondary), Membership Sales (exceptions only)
Responsibilities
Operate a telephone set and PC Windows-based computer, to accurately receive, record and respond to Members requests. Properly answer and accurately process incoming telephone calls regarding Emergency Road Service and other related areas, while demonstrating a pleasant and professional telephone manner. Take action, as necessary, to appropriately respond to a Member needs and concerns
Effectively listen and probe for additional information as necessary. Make sound decisions concerning the prioritization of service (e.g., safety concern, extreme hardship to Member). Identify situations that require special handling and coordinate with our Dispatch team as necessary.
Accurately enter information, comments and complaints regarding Members Roadside Assistance needs.
Process credit card and member billing transactions
Deliver extraordinary customer service to Members,
Suggest cross-selling opportunities that will enhance Member s experience; promote related programs as required by the Member s individual situation (upgrading coverage, adding members, etc.).
Qualifications
Basic math skills, typing (35 wpm minimum), computer (basic usage and functions) and data entry skills
Basic computer, relevant applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Outlook, etc.), and telephone skills
Passion for customer service and helping people in a time of need
Familiarity with map applications (Google maps, Apple based map, Wazeetc.)
Ability to work overtime and/or holidays as necessitated by business and/or weather conditions.
Ability to identify customer needs and recommend solutions
Ability to remain organized and in control under challenging conditions.
Bilingual communication skills (preferred, but not necessary)
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Must be able to pass a background check (verification of past employment, education as well as a criminal background check)

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
