If you have good hand dexterity you will probably be very proficient at this work.
Teenagers are probably the fastest at packaging but also seem to lose focus faster than older workers.
If you have good hand coordination, focus, and a good system you will do well.
No degree or prior Packaging experience is required.
JBK Pottery is looking for one or two employees to help us with packaging our locally made ceramic terracotta kitchen products.
We think that this job is ideal for an employee looking for flexible work as we are very flexible with your schedule and hours.
You may choose to either work at our location or choose to work at your location.
If you choose to work at your location you will need to transport product and packing materials back and forth.
If you love to work and love to be busy you should love this job.
A passion for working with your hands is a plus but not required.
A very high attention to detail, the ability to stay on task, and improve speed over time will be required.
If attention to detail and making intelligent and accurate decisions is one of your strong skills, we would like to hear from you.
Job Duties may include but will not be limited to:
Making good use of work time.
Maintaining a clean working environment.
Accurately completing job duties.
Ability to work in Clearfield, UT.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to make decisions and problem solve.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work with little or no supervision.
Ability to develop creative ideas & ways to improve.
I think that it is enjoyable, however, the work is very repetitive.
You are welcome to go at your own pace, since you will not be on a clock.
Either work at our location or yours.
We pay by the piece.
The prior owner had a couple who worked as a team and were very successful at achieving a high rate of production.
We have had others who work at their own leisure and I am sure that they do not make much per hour and that seems to work for them as well.
We had an employee who could not work a traditional job because of a health condition.
She would pick up product and work at her pace and brings back the completed pieces when finished.
This would be a great part time job for someone in school or someone who needs a flexible schedule and /or you are a self starter and just like to work on your own without much supervision.
